The main base of the 2012 Olympic and Paralympic Games was at the Olympic Park that is situated in Stratford. Several venues such as Aquatics Centre, Olympic Stadium and London Velopark are situated there. The athletes Olympic Village has been redeveloped to East Village. More than 3500 homes, which are half private and half affordable are there. The largest urban part in Europe is planned to be included in the post- Olympics legacy plans for over a century along with new Chobham Academy. Stratford has been improved with new walkways, platforms and entrances. The hosting of London Olympic games, on which the eyes of everyone as set, are organized in Stratford. It is indeed a great recognition for the region and a most important aspect as well.
