This open transport system was introduced in August 1987 and from that point forward it has been stretched out in a few events, joining an expanding number of East London neighbourhoods and giving an advantageous open transport alternative to just about 90 million travellers consistently.

Before the consummation of this task, expansive parts of East London had been subject to transport transportation just, as the arranged underground expansions of the Jubilee Line never took place. This undertaking merits saying as well as it was finished in a record time of under two years. Today, the DLR system has 45 stations crosswise over East London and runs for more than 25 miles. Presently, the framework has 6 lines and serves key areas in East London, in the same way as Stratford, London City airplane terminal, Canary Wharf, and Woolwich.
